Saturday, Dec 21, 2019 - Monday, Dec 30, 2019
Orphan care, school project for unprivileged kids, and community service in Les Cayes All ages (min age 18 unless accompanied by a parent)

We are pleased to announce the list of Volunteer Corps for 2019!

Whatever your age, background, skills, marital status, we have a Volunteer Corps for you!

  • Volunteer Corps: The all-generations Volunteer Corps is open to anyone - teens, families, campus students, singles, empty-nesters, etc. There will be a variety of service activities, and everyone will find their niche!
  • HOPE Youth Corps is for teens and campus students! Full of energy, zeal, and friendship building!
  • Singles Corps is for our single/non-married volunteers. We love Singles Corps. Your skills will be put to use as you help build capacity in local HWW programs!
  • Agriculture Corps: If you love the outdoors and nature, join our sustainable Agriculture Corps, and help build long term, high impact programs!
  • Adventure Corps: If you want to build resilience and learn survival skills, join this leadership development program in the wild of Alaska!

A note about the application process: Your application will be reviewed after we receive your completed application, including your recommendations and $300 deposit. Once you are accepted into the program, the deposit becomes non-refundable and is credited toward your participation fee.

Note about age requirements: all North American trips are open to participants aged 15 and older. Trips outside of North America are open to non-US participants aged 15 and over (with a few exceptions). US participants must turn 18 within three months of the trip, or, if between the ages of 15 and 18, be accompanied by a chaperone who is over the age of 21. Parents can take children on the trips. The age of the children allowed will depend on the particular program (usually preteen and over; some trips can take slightly younger children).

For the first time this year, some of the international trips will be open to US participants aged 17 and over (turning 17 within three months of the trip) without a chaperone.

Food Information (Allergies/Intolerance Issues): Our sites are not equipped to prepare special meals based on specific dietary preferences or allergies. The meals should have enough variety that you can pick from what is provided to meet your needs. If you have a serious medical food allergy or cannot tolerate this arrangement, please consider attending our Philadelphia HYC site which has a designated allergy kitchen. If you have issues with gluten or dairy, our sites in Asia and Zambia are better suited for these dietary needs (rice-based diets). Our programs in Europe (Germany and Romania) are not good sites for gluten and dairy issues.

If you still have questions after taking a good look at the website and detailed site descriptions, please contact hvc@hopeww.org or 484-586-3611.
